ABOUT THE COURSE

This course is aimed at young learners with suitable background knowledge on Spanish, with a passion for travelling and the desire to learn through immersion, experiencing the local culture and university life.

Combine your language, literature and culture studies with a linguistic and cultural immersion programme. This includes walking a stretch of the Camino de Santiago.

Design your own course according to your needs by completing the basic 4-subject course with any of the optional subjects, taking up an internship and/or participating in the volunteering programme.

BASIC COURSE

  • Spanish Language
  • Writing and conversation. Portfolio
  • Spanish culture and civilisation
  • Atlantic Spain and the Camino de Santiago*.
*The course includes two days of lessons on the move in the Camino Francés

OPTIONAL SUBJECTS

  • Spanish for Business
  • Varieties of Spanish
  • Spanish and Latin American Economies
  • Spanish and Latin American Cinema
  • European Union (taught in English)
  • Spanish in the Global Economy (taught in English)

Note: the minimum enrolment for optional subject is five students

 

ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE  

Guided tours around the Old Town, the city parks and museums, cinema, coffee-house discussions, cooking sessions, traditional dancing lessons, tapas tour, night-time strolls, sports activities...

The payment of the registration and accommodation costs should be done 15 days before the course start date.

Cancellations must be communicated in writing to the International  Courses Office.

This is our cancellation policy:

1. Course

    - Once the course has started, there is no refund.

    - Less than 15 days before the start of the course, a 200 €

       cancellation fee.

    - 15 days or more before the start of the course, a 60 € cancellation

       fee.

 

2. Lodging

    - More than 10 days before the start of the course, there is no 

       charge.

    - 10 days or less before the starting of the course, one week 

       lodging fee will be charged.

    - The change of accomodation, once the course has started, will              imply an additional charge of 200 €.

 

3. Visa refusals:

    - If the course has started, there is no refund.

    - The student has to prove Visa refusal with an official document              and a fee of 100 € will be charged.

       If no official document is presented, there is no refund.
