We want you to live a unique experience so that you may feel at home in this great little town. We will help you find accommodation so that you may enjoy your academic adventure from the very first day. With our help, you will feel at home straightaway!


Living in Santiago

Cursos Internacionales offers students different accommodation options: halls of residence, families and shared apartments. Choose the one that suits your needs and preferences best. Accommodation will be available since the day before the course start date and until the day after the course end date.

 
STUDENT RESIDENCE  

(Available on June, July and August)

Share your experience with other international students and enjoy university life on campus.

Student residences are right on campus, 10-15 minutes away from the city centre - walking distance -. There are single and double rooms, equipped with en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi connection; towels and bed linen are provided. The residence provides a cleaning service. There are also laundry rooms (equipped with coin-operated washing machines and driers), kitchens, TV lounges, study rooms and computer rooms with Internet connection.

University canteens offer quality menus at affordable prices.

Families are nice, welcoming and used to hosting students. They will help you feel at home and blend into local life. Besides, it will be a great way to improve your Spanish.

Share a flat with other international or Spanish students. These flats are in central locations, well-equipped and include WI-FI connection. Rent a room and share the common areas (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) with your flatmates. Electricity, water and heating expenses included.

How much does it cost to live in Santiago

Santiago de Compostela is an affordable city for students. Check the following data to get an idea about life costs in Santiago. These data are merely illustrative and they may change depending on your life style and/or needs.

  • The weekly household expenditure for one person amounts to €45-€50.
  • Everyday value lunch menus cost approximately €10
  • A coffee costs €1-€1.20 and a full breakfast including bread and butter or pastries is about€2.40
  • A single bus fare costs €1, although if you buy a travel card, the price will be reduced to €0.60
  • One cinema ticket costs €5-€7 (depending on the day you plan to go and the theatre type)
  • The 20-minute taxi ride from the airport to the city centre costs €21
  • A glass of beer in a bar costs, approximately, €1.60
  • The price of gas per litre is approximately €1.30
  • Monthly gym membership cards may be purchased from €35
  • Exhibition tickets and most museum tickets are FREE
